Information for Shoreline

UPDATE:  The Shoreline Community has come together on many fronts to look out for those most in need.  This is especially true with regard to ensuring that all residents have access to the food they need, even if they are unable to go out and get it themselves.  Given the existing efforts in place to respond to this need, smaller applications ($5000 or less) will no longer be accepted for services focused on access to food.  Smaller applications focused on other emergency services are still welcome.  In addition, applications above $5000 will continue to be considered for all emergency response services.

Thank you for your interest in the City of Shoreline Emergency Community Response Fund.  The application is brief, but do read it carefully before completing it to be sure your organization is eligible and that you are able to meet the terms and conditions included.

Please note: the Council resolution explicitly excludes rental assistance as an allowed use of these funds. Council recently increased funding for rental assistance programs.

As noted in the application, eligible funding requests up to and including $5000 may be approved within 24 hours.  Requests for larger amounts will require City Council consideration so will take a bit longer.  If approved, the City will prepare and mail a check to the contact person and address provided.  We expect to be able to mail most checks within 48 hours following application approval. Funded organizations will be asked to submit a brief report summarizing how funds were used and indicating the number of residents served.

As with all resources during this time, it is important to be mindful of what is really needed to ensure that as many individuals as possible are able to meet their needs.  Please only request funds for specific needs that are known at this time.
