Lime scooters and bikes rolled into Shoreline in August 2024, kicking off a two-year pilot program.  The community has taken over 67,000 rides with this scooter and bike share service as of September 2025.  The program supports our commitments to sustainable transportation in the adopted Comprehensive and Climate Action Plans.

At the start of the program in August 2024 Lime introduced 150 scooters and 50 bikes. New seated scooters called Gliders were added to the fleet in 2025. Currently, up to a maximum of 1,000 scooters and bikes are allowed in the City.  We will reevaluate the pilot program and make adjustments by the end of the pilot in summer 2026.  

Riders must be 18 years or older. Helmets are highly recommended by Lime and the City.  Where helmets are legally required, you must wear one to use Lime services. A discount for wearing a helmet on your ride can be verified through the Lime app.

Lime is managing all operations including device deployment, maintenance, recovery/rebalancing, and responses to community reports. Report issues to Lime at:
