National Night Out for Community

Shoreline will celebrate National Night Out (NNO) for Community on August 5, 2025. This is a great opportunity to connect with your neighbors and public officials by either hosting or attending a block party in your neighborhood.

The City of Shoreline waives fees and insurance requirements for block parties occurring on National Night Out. Fees are also waived for block parties which are scheduled one month before to one month after NNO (between July 5 - September 5, 2025).

Block Party Permits

Planning a block party between July 5 - September 5, 2025?

You may request a street closure. Carefully review the Neighborhood Block Party Permit Checklist before submitting a NNO Block Party Application. NNO block parties planned for August 5, 2025, must submit all application materials and registration on or before July 10, 2025.

Planning a block party for a date outside the window above?

Carefully review the General Neighborhood Block Party Checklist before submitting a Neighborhood Block Party Application. To obtain a fee waiver, you will be required to obtain a signature from a representative of your Neighborhood Association. Applications which include a street closure request must be received at least three weeks before the date of your event.
