Local and Regional Bus & Light Rail Services

Shoreline is served by Metro Transit, Community Transit, and Sound Transit. Metro Transit provides service in King County and Community Transit provides service to Snohomish County. Sound Transit provides regional bus service to Seattle, Mountlake Terrace, Lynnwood, and Everett via I-5. Sound Transit also provides Link Light Rail service with stops between Lynwood Center and Angle Lake, including Shoreline North/185th and Shoreline South/148th stations in Shoreline.

King County Metro Community Van

Join a shared ride or request a trip - just need at least two people to participate. King County Metro has partnered with Hopelink Mobility Management and participating cities, including Shoreline, to provide residents with customized options for getting around when bus service cannot meet their needs. All trips are driven by Metro-approved volunteer drivers and are dependent on volunteer availability. Trips are scheduled in advance through a local coordinator (this is not an on-demand service, so prepare in advance). Visit the Hopelink Community Van website for more information.

Ride Share

Washington State Department of Transportation is making carpooling, vanpooling, and other ride sharing easier with RideshareOnline.com. You can find resources and tools for better commuting options including Ridematch, Vanpool providers, Park and Ride Lots and more.

Scooter and Bike Share

Lime scooters and bikes rolled into Shoreline in August 2024, kicking off a two-year pilot program. You can rent an electric bike, scooter, or glider to make those short trips or transit connections easier and sustainable. For more information on the program and how to download the mobile app, visit the Scooter and Bike Share Program webpage. You can also earn Lime minutes or transit rides when you combine a Lime ride with transit. See Bike & Scoot to Transit - King County, Washington for more information.
