Program Background
Transportation is Shoreline's biggest source of greenhouse gas emissions, making up 55% of our total emissions. Most of these emissions come from gasoline-powered cars. Our goal is to reduce these emissions by 60% by 2030, which will be a big challenge. To reach that goal, we're encouraging biking and other transportation options that reduce driving in the community. Reducing community-wide driving also helps lower air toxics, as on-road vehicles are a major source of these pollutants in Washington.
Program Overview
Pedal Forward Shoreline is a program that offers Shoreline residents the opportunity to receive an instant rebate to purchase an e-bike at a local bike shop. The program will offer a limited number of two kinds of rebates:

Applicants seeking the $1,500 instant rebate must provide income verification as part of the application process.
- Non-Income based $500 Instant Rebate: Available to applicants who meet all program eligibility requirements but do not meet the income-based requirements for the $1,500 instant rebate.
