Title: Annie B. Thomas and the Civil Rights Movement 

Description: Created by local senior and resident, Connie Lednum, this documentary is about the trials and tribulations of a Black woman (Annie B. Thomas) during the Civil Rights Movement. The creator of the video hopes to preserve Annie's personal history and also teach everyone that racism is cruelty.  Annie B. Thomas is a local elder, activist, and was keynote speaker at Shoreline's 4th annual Juneteenth event in 2026 sponsored by Black Coffee Northwest. 

Title: Immigration 101 by Justin Estep, Program Director of Refugee & Immigration Services at Lutheran Community Services Northwest. 

Description: The presentation covers history of immigration in the United States as of Nov. 12th, 2025, on federal immigration policies and Know Your Rights.

For Advanced Learners - Visit the Shoreline Historical Museum

After reading the Racial Restrictive Covenant reports head to the Heritage Center and muse through some of Shoreline's darkest relics. Ask for Robby for a more in-depth conversation around Shoreline's past. 

The museum also has some beautifully preserved Duwamish treasures and a map from 1859 that honors Coast Salish presence all around the city. Preview below.
