Final ADA Transition Plan
The City Council adopted the final Parks Facilities ADA Transition Plan on October 6, 2025.
The Plan
We assessed parks for accessibility barriers, identified solutions and costs, and developed a method to prioritize barrier removal projects. We also gathered community feedback about how people move around and use Shoreline’s parks. We hosted focus groups, interviews, and an online survey. This feedback helped shape the Plan.
These conversations and comments helped us decide which park updates to do first. To do this, we thought about how often people visit each park, how many visitors have disabilities, and the feedback we received. We also considered if a park offers special features, such as beach access.
