Public comment is any comment provided as part of a public meeting.  Salary Commission public comment can be provided written, in-person, or remotely. Written comments received are posted on the Salary Commission Meeting Agenda on the City’s website and will become part of the official meeting record.

NOTICE OF DISCLOSURE

All emails, and attachments, sent to and from City of Shoreline are public records and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public Records Act (Chapter 42.56 RCW).  Additionally, the City of Shoreline may publish comments received, that pertain to Salary Commission meeting agenda items, to the Salary Commission's packet online.  This includes any attachments or other supporting materials, including any business or personal information (name, email address, phone, etc.) provided. 

Do not include any information in your comment or supporting materials that you do not wish to be made public, including name and contact information.  

Guidelines and Tips

  • Generally, each speaker has 3 minutes to address the Salary Commission.  If more than 10 people have signed up, speakers are limited to 2 minutes. 
  • The total “Public Comment” period will be no more than 30 minutes
  • Please be advised that each speaker's public comment is being recorded.
  • Questions will not be answered during a speaker’s turn at the podium, but a speaker may leave their contact information with the clerk for staff to follow up.
