Revisions, New Permit Applications, and Project Applications

Revisions and new permit and project applications are being accepted using the following options:

  1. Residential mechanical and plumbing permits may be submitted through services.shorelinewa.gov/etrakit/ by registered contractors.

  2. If your plans and materials are legible and scalable on 11”X17” paper submit via email to pcd@shorelinewa.gov.

  3. If your plans are larger, they can be dropped off at City Hall:

    17500 Midvale Avenue N, Shoreline 98133
    Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

For drop offs, please use the main entrance on Midvale Avenue North. An attendant will be waiting inside to collect all deliveries. Application materials can also be submitted via USPS mail/FedEx/UPS.

  4. Please include a cover letter that notes your contact name and phone number, permit number (for revisions), and description of the items submitted. If submitting multiple applications or revisions, then each set of materials should be clearly separated by permit application or by revision permit number.

We will review your submittal to confirm the materials are complete and notify you if submittal items are missing. We will call you for payment over the phone (Visa or MasterCard) once all submittal items are received or we can provide you with a fee estimate in advance so that you may include a check with your submittal. If you would like discuss and review specific submittal requirements in advance of permit submittal, please call (206) 801-2500 or email PCD@shorelinewa.gov to be connected to a subject matter expert.

NOTE: We will not be able to accept permit and project applications that require a Public Hearing. We are not currently accepting Special Event permits.

Pre Application Meetings

Pre-application meetings will be available with the caveat that the meeting will not be “in-person” during the closure of City Hall. Pre-application meetings will either be a phone or conference call between you and your team and the project manager to discuss the review team’s prepared notes; or a phone or video conference call between your team and our team. In all situations you will receive the written comments from each review discipline. The assigned project manager would determine which scenario would best suit the project and staffing levels.

If you would like to move forward with this level of pre-application meeting you can submit using the options listed above.
