Submittal checklists explain what documents you need to upload with your permit application. Each checklist is specific to a permit type and helps you prepare a complete, accurate submittal so your review can begin without delays.
Only applications that include all required items will be accepted. Some checklists include a possibly required section - these items depend on your project’s scope or site conditions.
In some cases , you may need or with more complex projects, you may need more than one checklist for a single project. If you’re unsure which checklists apply, we strongly recommend scheduling an appointment with staff to discuss your project before submitting an application.
Before You Apply
- All permit applications are submitted electronically. Once you gather all required items, you can submit your application for intake using the City's eTRAKiT permitting portal.
- Requirements vary by project; review the checklists carefully. Some items need lead time for other professionals or agencies to prepare information or documents that may be required for your project.
- Use the City’s Permitting Documents Naming Conventions when uploading files. Following these standards helps staff review your application quickly and accurately.
- Looking for specific information or specific form?
- Our Development Information webpage has handouts which summarize the detailed requirements contained in codes and ordinances. They are not intended to replace specific code but rather provide clarification on confusing subjects and answer commonly asked questions.
- Visit our Individual Forms & Applications page for the collection of individual forms that comprise permit checklists and application packets.
