Do I qualify for a scholarship?
- A letter from Shoreline School District verifying eligibility for free or reduced lunch during the
current school year. A copy can be requested by calling 206-393-4209 and request a copy be emailed or forward to shorelineparks@shorelinews.gov. - A letter from Shoreline Head Start verifying your child’s current enrollment in Head Start.
- A letter from DSHS showing approval for services during the current year for a child in your family or an adult with disabilities. If you need a copy of your approval letter, call DSHS at 877-501-2233 and request copy be emailed to shorelineparks@shorelinews.gov.
How to apply for a scholarship
For each calendar year, participants need to complete a new Recreation Program Scholarship Application as well as a current year Liability Waiver Form. Current scholarship amounts are listed on the Scholarship Application Form. Completed forms need to be submitted and approved prior to being able to use scholarship fund.
Submit the scholarship forms using the link above, or email shorelineparks@shorelinewa.gov for a paper form. You may also apply in person by visiting the Spartan Recreation Center, 202 NE 185th St. Shoreline, WA 98155.

How do I register for programs with my recreation scholarship?
Once your scholarship is approved and you have the options to register for programs the following ways:
- In Person: Spartan Recreation Center, 202 NE 185th St.
- Phone: (206) 801-2600
- Online: shorelinewa.gov/RegisterNow
Activity Withdrawals
If you wish to withdraw from an activity, you will need to call the Spartan Recreation Center at (206) 801-2600 or email us at shorelineparks@shorelinewa.gov. Withdrawals and refunds are processed according to our refund policy.
*Scholarships are provided by the City of Shoreline on a first-come basis until all scholarship funds have been used. Please note that funds may run out before you are able to use all your assigned scholarship dollars.
