On-leash dogs are welcome in all Shoreline parks. Dogs may only be off leash in our designated off-leash areas (OLA).

Eastside OLA

The Eastside OLA is permanently closed.

Since 2013, the City has had an agreement with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) to use their land at Fircrest for the Eastside OLA. That agreement has ended and the Eastside OLA is now closed permanently. DSHS is making improvements to their property and plan to use the land for other purposes.

Parvovirus Warning

Parvo is a potentially deadly virus that is extremely contagious. Symptoms include lethargy, vomiting, fever, and diarrhea. The virus is extremely hardy and can survive in contaminated soil for over a year. Puppies who have not received their full schedule of vaccinations are the most vulnerable to parvo. Veterinarians recommend vaccinations at 8, 12, and 16 weeks of age, a booster at one year and boosters every three years thereafter. Pet owners are encouraged to make sure their dogs' vaccinations are up to date. If your dog shows any of the symptoms of parvo, please seek veterinary care and keep them at home.
