Every year, the city goes through a Comprehensive Plan amendment process. The annual amendment process is an opportunity for you to propose changes to Shoreline’s Comprehensive Plan. Proposed amendments usually address changing conditions or emerging issues.
New for this year, the city is also accepting proposed changes to Shoreline’s Development Code. The Development Code is what the City uses to implement our land use and development regulations to ensure they conform with the Comprehensive Plan or respond to changing conditions or needs of the City. Development Code amendments may also be necessary to reduce confusion, clarify existing language, and/or respond to regional and local policy changes.
If you have a change you would like to see in the Comprehensive Plan or the Development Code, you can send them to the Planning and Community Development Department (PCD). Amendment You can find the Comprehensive Plan Amendment Application and the Development Code Amendment Application on the Permits and Development Information page.
To be eligible for consideration, you must submit your applications by 5:00 p.m. December 1, 2025.
