Hours of Operation

Shoreline parks are generally open from dawn to dusk.

Park Rules

  • Trees, plants, and park features are a valuable part of the quality of life in Shoreline. City staff and volunteers work hard to maintain and improve our parks. Per Park Ordinance and the Shoreline Municipal Code, the removal or damaging of any City property, including trees, is a violation of ordinances and a punishable offense. If at any time you witness damage occurring in a park please call 911 immediately
  • Dogs must remain on leash except in designated 
  • Alcoholic beverages are prohibited without a permit

2022 Park Bond Projects

Brugger's Bog Park will be closed for construction beginning August 14, 2025, through Fall 2026.

Upper Hamlin Park will be closed for construction beginning March 24, 2025, through Spring 2026.

The parking lot along 25th Avenue North (Upper Hamlin) will be closed starting July 25th until the summer of 2026. Please see the logistics plan to learn more.

Ballfield 5 will still be open and alternate parking will temporarily be at Shorecrest High School and Lower Hamlin Main Parking Lot. The area around Ballfield 6 will be permanently closed at that time. Ballfield 5 will remain in service throughout the duration of the project. Parking and access challenges are expected at various phases of the project, especially during the demolition and construction of the accessible ramp area at the south end of the parking lot along 25th Avenue NE. The City will provide more details about any amenity closures as well as impacts on access and temporary access routes during the project.

Richmond Highlands Park Closed

Richmond Highlands Park closed in October 2024 for improvements. Planned improvements include a parking lot with lighting, frontage improvements, walkways, a sensory trail, a multi-sport court, a play area, a picnic shelter and tables, new plantings, and more! The Richmond Highlands Recreation Center is open during construction.

James Keough Park Closed 

James Keough Park is closed January 2025 through the fall of 2025 for improvements. Voter-approved improvements include walkways, a play spot (with wood fiber surfacing), a small picnic shelter and picnic tables, a bike rack, plantings, and an off-leash dog area.
