FREE WINTER "POP UP" WALK
Winter Pop Up Walks - FREE
Saturday, February 14, 2026, Leaving at 10:00 am
Horizon View Park
Meetup Location: Lake Forest Park Elementary School, 18500 37th Ave. N.E. in Lake Forest Park. (Note: the left turn from the west on to 37th Street is near a curve and may be hard to notice.)
Walk Difficulty Rating: Moderate. 3.5 miles/2 hours. Has a long climb to the top.
Walk Leader: Donna
Description: We will walk up a long hill from Lake Forest Park Elementary School, crossing Lyons Creek several times. Horizon View Park is at the highest point in Lake Forest Park and, on a clear day, one can see Mt. Baker, Mt. Rainier and the Cascade Range from there. Our route down is much more direct, going through neighborhoods and down a hidden trail.
SHORELINE WALKS WINTER "POP UP" WALKS
During winter months, the Shoreline Walks Free Community Walks Program offers “Pop Up” Walks which are scheduled a few days prior to the walk, to ensure good weather for walking. “Pop Up” Walks explore neighborhoods, parks and trails on some of the best walking routes in our City. Designed for adults ages 50+ but open to all ages and abilities, each walk is led by a Volunteer Walk Leader and all walks are free. No need to sign up, just show up at the meetup location and we'll take care of the rest! Friendly dogs on a leash are welcome to join.
