Betsy Robertson was appointed to the Shoreline City Council in January 2019. Her term expires in November 2019.
Betsy served on Shoreline's Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services/Tree Board from 2013 to 2019 and was elected as the Board's chair in 2016.
Betsy is the Communications Program Manager for the American Red Cross Northwest Region. Previously, Betsy worked as the Director of Communications and Community Relations for KING 5 and as the Managing Editor for Northwest Cable News.
As an active member of the Ridgecrest Elementary School PTA, Betsy spearheads their external communications and co-chairs the annual Taste of Ridgecrest multicultural family potluck. Outside of Shoreline, she is a member of the Seattle CityClub Board of Governors, chairing the organization's Program Committee.
Betsy, her husband, Darryl, and their daughter Darby live in the Ridgecrest Neighborhood.
Betsy earned a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Washington.
