It is necessary to evaluate all projects being submitted to ensure that all of the required information is provided in order to review the proposal. This is known as the completeness review. In some cases, the completeness review may be done while you wait. Incomplete submittals will not be processed. Once it is determined that your submittal documents are complete and the appropriate submittal fees are paid, your application is distributed for plan review and a Project Manager is assigned.
During the course of the review you will receive feedback that will identify areas of the plans that need refinement.
Once the plans reflect the minimum code requirements staff will contact you with information on how to pay any outstanding fees and pick up your permit and approved plans.
Once you receive the permit you may start construction.
