Several projects are in the works that may impact a park near you this summer.

  • Hillwood Park will be impacted by the Einstein Middle School replacement project over the next 12 - 18 months. More information
  • Aging play equipment will be replaced at Twin Ponds and Shoreview Parks this summer. All other areas of these parks will remain fully accessible during construction. For information contact Parks Superintendent Kirk Peterson kpeterson@shorelinewa.gov (206) 801-2611. 

Projects affecting Shoreline parks related to the Sound Transit Lynnwood Link Extension

  • Ronald Bog Park is closed as Sound Transit begins construction of wetland mitigation to replace wetlands affected by light rail construction. This work includes a new ADA accessible trail with interpretive signs, benches, bollards, habitat structures, and wetland buffers. Some tree removal and excavation is required to create new low areas. New trees, shrubs and ground cover plants will be planted.

  • The parking lot at Ridgecrest Park will be closed for Sound Transit construction, but the park remains open with limited access.
