2019 Million Step Challenge (Moved to September)
How Far Can You Walk, Shoreline?

New for 2019, the Million Step Challenge will take place during the month of September in Shoreline.  This free event invites everyone to walk or run as much as you can in the name of health, fitness, community connection and fun.  Prizes will be awarded to our top “Steppers” at a Closing Celebration and Awards event on Tuesday, October 1st, 6:30pm at the new location next door to the Ridgecrest Pub.

REMEMBER, we’ve expanded the Million Step Challenge to allow participants to log their walking totals in several different ways during the month of September. All totals will be posted on this website.

1. Walk around the loop path at Paramount School Park and track your total laps on the paper tracking sheet located in the park or on the “STEP TRACKER” link on this webpage.
2. Walk anywhere you want and track your miles walked on the “STEP TRACKER” link on this webpage.
3. Use a pedometer and log your total daily steps on the “STEP TRACKER” link on this webpage.

Enter your totals each time you walk or the end of each day, they will be converted to “Steps” and posted on this page.

IT’S A NEIGHBORHOOD CHALLENGE
you’ll be asked what neighborhood you live in on the STEP TRACKER, this is because we want have a special award to the neighborhood which walks the most steps during the Million Step Challenge. In 2018, the Ridgecrest Neighborhood walked the most with 5.1 million steps!  Who will challenge them this year?
