The Administrative Services Department provides financial and technological services including budgeting, tax, purchasing, accounts payable, wastewater utility customer service and accounting, and information systems technology. The department also manages the City's facilities and vehicles.

What is the Local Sales and Use Tax Rate?
Effective April 1, 2019, the retail sales and use tax rate in Shoreline will increase to 10.2% of which 6.5% is the state portion and 3.7% is the local rate. Of the 3.7%, the Shoreline receives 1.05% with the remaining 2.65% going to other local governments.

In November 2018, Shoreline voters approved the increased sales and use tax for sidewalk improvements. Funds collected from the increased sales and use tax can only be used for constructing new sidewalks or repairing and maintaining existing sidewalks.
