Kiss Sculpture relocation at Ronald Bog Park

Post Date:01/24/2019 9:39 am

Sound Transit is offsetting impacts to wetlands as a result of light rail construction in Shoreline by creating wetlands at Ronald Bog Park.

The first step in constructing the Ronald Bog Wetland Mitigation Site is to move Michael Sweeney's The Kiss sculpture to a new location within the park. Starting in January 2019, Sound Transit will construct a new earthen mound approximately 200 feet east from the sculpture's current location and then carefully transfer the sculpture to the new mound.

Work will occur from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday – Friday, and will take approximately five weeks to complete.

Construction of the wetland mitigation site is expected to begin in summer 2019.

See Sound Transit's Construction alert - Kiss sculpture relocation for further information.
